This is my first pair of Allen Edmonds, so I'm learning a bit about them as I go. I bought the 3E and while they fit, they're just a tad more snug than I expected. It's close enough though that a light stretch will make them perfect. In other brands I usually need a 2E at most, so my assumption is that an AE wide is less wide overall. Otherwise, the shoe is fantastic, I love the look. The suede arrived in perfect condition. There is a weird little piece of clear plastic that seems like it is sewn into the left toe cap and I haven't been able to get that out by picking at it, so I'll need to carefully revisit it with some pliers I guess. Overall, I think I'm happy with them, that plastic is just going to bug me until I get it out of there.
