Turtleneck Sweater

Greatly quality, stylish sweater. I’m M size 5’9 (140lb) . Got two sweaters : medium and small. Love the medium size better. Longer sleeves , longer torso, roomier and drapes better when it tucked into the the front of the jeans. Small fits more like a normal size sweater for me , slightly shorter sleeves and less coverage on the back.

I am 5'8a', 40C; I checked the size chart and ordered one size down, as instructed online. I ordered Pink (pale and dusty) & Gray Heather. PROS: This midweight sweater is very, very soft. The brushed cotton/poly blend has only 5% wool, so I did not find it scratchy. CONS: You know how you see all of the oversize sweaters on Nordstrom's website models, thinking it will never be that loose and cozy on my body? Well, this sweater looks even more oversized and slouchy and boxy on my body. This garment is HUGE, not just in size, but in design. I know it is the trend for 2020-2021, but full figure bodies need a bit of feminine shaping. I must return these, sadly.

I REALLY wanted to love this sweater. The pink color is beautiful; the fabric is super soft and cozy; the oversized look is so cute with leggings and boots……BUT I washed this sweater once and wore it. The sweater started pilling! It was everywhere and it ended up on everything. If I could, I would return it. Looks like this will be an “at home” sweater.

I ordered this sweater in grey and black. I love both of them! I am 5’7 around 185 pounds with an athletic build and the size medium was perfect. The fabric is so soft and the sweater is just slightly oversized but not completely ridiculously large. I had ordered a free people sweater previously where I could have fit another person or two in it and that went back. I would say the fabric is on the thinner side but is still warm and cozy. I haven’t washed either yet so I can comment on shrinkage or how the fabric feels after being washed.

I took the sweater out of its bag and thought, "this is not going to work." It looked like a big sideways rectangle with sleeves, shortish and very wide. And I was wrong. When I tried it on I found it to be comfortably slouchy, with a relaxed soft vibe. The sweater has some loft but it is lightweight and drapey so it tucks well into higher waisted jeans and pants. I'm fine with the loose and unstructured turtleneck. This is one of those sweaters that's best not messed with too much. For the record, I am 5'9", 145 lbs, and I downsized to a small from my normal medium. The light heather gray looks nice with silver hair.
