What it is: A cleansing oil that activates into a silky milk to remove long-wearing, heavy and waterproof makeup and pollutants.
What it does: The cleanser removes makeup and pollutants whiel preserving the skin's microbiota, even after is is rinsed off, for a soft, comfortable, healthy-looking complexion. It is formulated with organic golden gentian and organic lemon balm extracts, which are sourced from Le Domaine Clarins, the brand's open-air laboratory in the French Alps where Clarins cultivates their own plant ingredients through ethical and regenerative farming practices*. The cleansing oil helps preserve a healthy balance of the skin's microbiota and is safe to use on face, eyes and lips.

My favorite cleansing oil
I've tried mixing my own DIY oil blends for removing makeup as it would save a lot of money in the long run, but I end up with a greasy face or a mess that refuses to rinse off. Clarins' is honestly little more than glorified Sunflower Oil (fancy I know!) but it does the trick! The only issue with my bottle is it's slightly rancid (probably not stored in the right conditions instore), so I can't comment on the fragrance as it's half-gone. But the product still works well. I don't use it for removing eye makeup, only to remove foundation/concealer etc. The pump dispenses easily, and with a simple twist to the left, it seals shut for travel, the oil itself glides on easily and has a nice silky texture. It dissolves makeup well and it washes off in seconds, without leaving my already-oily skin, any more oily. I then follow with a normal gel cleanser. I've used a couple of oil cleansers in the past and this one is my favorite. Ingredient Concerns
I really wanted to consider this as I look for a cleansing oil to commit to... and have to say I'm rather shocked that Clarins has any product, particularly when cleansing and can be inhaled, this ingredient : PEG-20 GLYCERYL TRIISOSTEARATE; there really is no reason to have any of the chemical ingredients in a cleansing OIL

One step to clean and moisturized
I buy this product on repeat. It's a one-step cleanser. You slather it on, remove your makeup, then add water to create a milky consistency and rinse off. It smells amazing and leaves my skin feeling soft and clean.

I love this makeup remover. I love the oil feel when you first rub it all over your face. I get in there rubbing my mascara off and also my false lashes glue. I enjoy this makeup remover.

I tried a sample of this, and while it's really nice, it's too thin for my liking. I need to add more than I usually do to get all of my makeup and sunscreen off at the end of the day.

Actually removes my makeup and cleanses
I got this as a sample with another purchase and fell in love. It easily removes my waterproof makeup without stripping my face of oils. It’s a beautiful smell and texture.
