Tory Charm Mule (Women)

I love Birks so thought I’d be underwhelmed by these knowing they don’t have the true Birk sole. Well- they don’t. But I’ve discovered they don’t have to. The well-done suede footbed feels like velvet and it does have some contour, particularly at the toe area. I read reviews about squelching sounds or flapping- no issues with that for me. My feet aren’t particularly narrow, not wide width but average. My normal size for TB loafers/heels (8.5) fit me perfectly in this shoe. (I take an 8 in Miller sandals or the various ballet flats, but the length is perfect on this one with the 8.5 larger size of my two normal sizes in TB.) Also- they are SUPER cute. They made a t-shirt and knit hangout shorts look Hamptons cool but I can see them with anything- midi dresses or slacks or jeans or nicer shorts, etc. They are really comfortable too! I had also ordered the needlepoint version and am excited to try those, too. These are a shoe I’d be happy to take in every color, I think. But for the cornbread version I picked up here- it’s a no-brainer. More interesting and versatile than the black, but definitely a neutral- not lemon yellow. More in the tan family. Think cornstalk or a tannish-yellow crayon. :) The color is saturated, seems like goat leather or something long those lines of a supple and smooth, saturated leather. I’m pleasantly surprised by this mule!
