Small Ella Natuura^™ Drawstring Tote

I really wanted to love this bag. I liked the minimal design and perfect "everyday bag" size. But the bag in person was a disappointment. I'm open to leather alternatives, but I can't justify paying leather prices for a material that looks and feels like plastic. I also found the handles on this bag too thin. Wish it had worked out – and if it were $95 instead of $295, I probably would have kept it.

I saw the larger version of this bag in the store and liked the style; I'm always looking for a super lightweight bag so I can fill it up without too much total weight. I was wishing that they made a slightly smaller version because the big tote is more like an overnight or diaper bag size. Sure enough, I found that TB made a smaller one, so ordered it online. I'm torn: the small bag is smaller than I hoped; I wish it had been just a little bit bigger. It doesn't have the style appeal of the larger one. More importantly, like many reviewers have noted, the material looks and feels cheap. Somehow the larger bag gets away with it, but this small one will never look like a $300 bag. I have a Stella McCartney bag made out of almost identical material, and it looks much more high end. I also agree with others that the handles are too thin. Nevertheless, the bag is so lightweight, which is hard to find, and you can put a fair amount into it for every day wear. Still deciding if I will keep!
