Robinson Saffiano Leather Tote

After an extensive search for a work tote (during which I considered both luxury and contemporary brands), I ended up selecting the Tory Burch Robinson Tote and it is an AMAZING bag!!! It fits an obscene amount of items but I can still find everything. The center zip pocket is sewn to the bottom of the bag so things don't slip underneath (a personal pet peeve) and the organization to the bag is a major plus. This is my first large Tory Burch bag and I have been very impressed with their quality. All that said, this bag is a recent redesign to the Robinson Tote and I couldn't decide which version to get. I bought one of each version and test packed both, and I found that the primary plus to the new version is a longer strap drop (+1.5", I think). The other changes to the bag include a change in the lining fabric (from smooth and slightly silky to a bit rougher cotton (?) cloth), the snap-tab pocket in the older model fits a 13" laptop (albeit snugly), and in the new model they have reduced the size to accommodate a tablet only, so the laptop now has to go in the center zip compartment if you want to use a pocket for it. Other pockets have been removed entirely from the new version (the rounded interior pockets and the back exterior magnetic slip pocket). The best way to tell the old version from the new version at a glance is the front exterior pocket. The pocket on the old version is straight across and the opening is a few inches from the top of the bag. On the new version, the pocket is arched to be level with the top of the bag. Though I prefer the older version of this bag, I cannot recommend either Robinson Tote enough as a perfect work/travel bag! You will not be disappointed!

I purchased this bag for work purposes. My job requires heavy travel, and I practically carry a mobile office when I am on the road. This bag is beautiful, but did not do the trick for me so I returned it. The top doesn't zip which was a problem when stowing the bag under the seat on an airplane as some of my items slipped out. Also the straps are thin, so when I loaded it up, they cut into my shoulders. I would say that if you just need something to get from the car to the office - this bag is perfect. If you need a work horse for a tote, try another option.

Beautiful bag, love the divided sections inside. Will fit a laptop, files, iPad and just about anything else you need for work. Just a note: the bag will not fit under the airplane seat standing up, it must be laid on its side so be careful to put small items that may fall out inside the zipper pouches. The bag does not zip close to cover the entire interior.

I’ve been looking for a practical but nice work bag for awhile. I’m a lawyer and it has enough space for my MacBook, files with a note pad, and normal purse items. It stays straight when you put it on the ground which was extremely important. And he straps stay on your shoulder. Perfect bag.

I purchased online. After going to the store to pick up, I saw it and did not like the Saffiano hard shell leather body. Very stiff and structured. Had to return it. After looking at a lot of different TB handbags, I purchased TB shell pink soft leather tote bag. It is a gift to a friend. I hope she likes it. Also, very large in person. I tried it on me and it looked huge, especially since it is not flexible. Would be good for work and toting your laptop. Good pockets inside and front flap pocket for keys and phone.

This purse was my go-to bag for work. I liked the internal pockets for organizing my things. However, less than a year after purchase, the straps broke. I used the purse to carry a wallet, keys, eyeglass case, and two cell phones. Nothing excessive. It was very disappointing as I was expecting better quality.
