Perry Triple Compartment Leather Tote

This bag is even lovelier in person than online. The interior colors of the taupe bag are perfect. Fits my laptop on the inside zip pocket. All the details check the boxes. The drop, Tory Burch, the drop is not long enough. If you’re a big girl or you’re wearing an overcoat or sweater, the drop is too short. Love the bag but the drop could be a dealbreaker.

This is the perfect work bag as far as fitting all the things you need. Laptop fits in the zippers compartments, interior pockets fit your basics like phone, mini cosmetics bag, etc. two things to be aware of….1. If you want to use this as a carryon bag on an airplane, it does not stand vertical under the seat in front of you. I get around this by traveling with the dust cover and putting the tote bag inside the dust cover before sliding it sideways under the seat. 2. The straps are thin, it’s not comfortable to carry on your shoulder or in the crook of your arm, so I feel it’s kind of limiting that you can only carry it for a short while, if it’s packed very light, or you have to carry it with your hand.

I really don’t understand why this bag is so popular. I bought the triple compartment bag in black. Lost its shape almost immediately and doesn’t stand upright, so out falls everything that’s not zippered in the middle compartment. It’s also so uncomfortable wearing on your shoulder. So disappointed.

I travel sometimes for work and bought this bag to carry my laptop on the plane and use as my work bag while on the trip. I originally wanted the ever ready tote because it zips and I thought it would be more durable. However, my work laptop is a 16” MacBook and it did not easily fit into the ever ready. I ended up buying this in the clam shell color instead and it’s worked well. I’ve put in under the airplane seat on 3-4 trips now and it still looks new. Even though it doesn’t zip all the way, it has a big zipper compartment where I put my wallet and phone. I’d also say the clam color is better in person.
