Lace Up Shirtdress

I was worried about this dress looking boxy on me as it looks like a loose dress, but it fits perfect! It's a gorgeous shade of green that is wonderful for the fall time. I plan on wearing it with over-the-knee boots as it falls about mid-thigh (for reference I am 5'5"). The sizing is true to size if not a little bit big. I am 105 lbs and I bought a size 2 US.

The cut is boxy. This would be okay if the fabric wasn't so stiff. There's also a sheen in the fabric which makes it look cheep. I felt like I was wearing a cardboard box. Finally, there's no zipper so the dress is hard to get on and off. Back it went.

The Fabric is super nice and I love the color, but the fit of the shoulders and arms is too tight. It feels like I might rip the back of I reach too far. So sad I have to return this.

I can't even deal with how much I love this dress! It's loose fitting so it's comfortable but it hangs nicely and isn't boxy. The only caution is that you have to pull it over your head since it doesn't have a zipper, so I learned the hard way that you shouldn't put on your antiperspirant until after putting on the dress. I wouldn't mind paying a slightly higher price for a dress like this if it had a zipper up the back. The material is a nice substantial weight and it has slash pockets, always a plus. I normally wear a dress size 2 but for TopShop I have to buy size 6. Have already worn it several times, great for work, church, etc.

I bought this dress in store and I absolutely love it. The fabric is amazing!
