Classic petite friendly straight jeans

I've tried a whole bunch of straight leg jeans including popular A&F ones, J.Crew and this is definitely one of my favorites. The cut is a classic high rise straight cut with no bells and whistles and the length is great on me (5 feet tall) and will work for someone a few inches taller too. If you're shorter, the hem is raw cut so you can just cut it to fit. Will show a couple ways on my blog how to style these. Size-wise, I tried both Petite as well as Regular in this style and they were strangely identical at the waist and length, so both worked! I am usually a 24 or 25 in most denim brands. A Topshop Jamie size 25 is VERY tight on me, but these straight jeans in 25 fit perfectly and comfortably at the waist.

whats up with the sizing

Purchased these on sale at a great price. They just arrived at my door and I am beyond confused. Nordstrom indicated these ran small. I typically wear a size 32 / 12-14, so I ordered the 33. Apparently in Topshop’s world, a size 33 = US 10. Writing this review to help any other buyers that are similarly sized to me.

Flattering and fits very well

I've been looking for straight leg jeans for several weeks, and these fit so well and are flattering. I'm 112 lbs / 5'1", got size 25, and these fit with no waist gap. The denim is thicker, which looks more clean because it doesn't wrinkle or stretch out. It goes above my belly button which is higher than my other high rise jeans, but I don't mind. Also, it hits me just above my ankles since my legs are shorter. These jeans look great with crop or front-tucked shirts, and I love them.

CUTEST JEANS

Love these straight jeans! Was intimidated at first not knowing how they'd look on my body type (curvy) but they look so flattering! Most importantly they are so comfortable! Forget Skinny jeans!

size way up!

I’m 5’7” 145lbs and normally a 28 in stretchy jeans but holy cow did I have to size way up to fit these. Ended up with a 31. These are nice and thick with a little give. Great wash and feel very good quality.

THE JEANS I've been searching for

First off, I was extremely surprised at how quickly these arrived! (I ordered them on January 16th and they arrived on January 18th) So, that in itself was a pleasant surprise. Secondly, these are THE JEANS I've been searching for. I'm loyal to Madewell jeans, but lately have been having a hard getting my size right, so I've been trying out other brands. These are the first pair of Topshop jeans I've ever purchased and they fit perfectly. For reference, I ordered a size 26 petite and I'm 5'0 and 105 pounds. They length and fit are so flattering especially since I'm short. They are form fitting enough, but being restrictive. I look forward to buying these again in another wash!
