Fragrance story: This fragrance is dark. A good, addictive, warm dark, as if the humid summer underwoods, their seeds and resins, were sprinkled with layers of musks and sweetened with drops of vanilla. The perfumer's notes say orange flower absolute, the unique cedar atlas, styrax resins, absolute tonka and musks. Le Labo says Tonka 25.

Tonka 25 embodies the fresh, natural, clean scent that I love. I'm happy to have stumbled across this brand. I got a sample of Santal 33 and liked it so much that I bought a bottle of it. It came with a sample of Tonka 25, which I liked even more as an every day scent. It's not quite as strong as the Santal 33. So I bought a bottle of Tonka 25 Eau de Parfum and lotion. It's a soothing, relaxing scent that I'd encourage those who don't like floral perfumes to try.

Wow!!! So, I will say the description is deceiving. It sounds like this is going to smell flowery but it smells spicy and fresh like a powder fresh.. but spicy... but fresh but SPICY. It reminds me of Thé Noir 29, how it's fresh and musky and spicy. I didn't love it on myself but i love it on my boyfriend. Try to get a sample first!!

It smells diff on diff people. On me it starts off [almost too] sweet, but soon disappears leaving behind an addicting, sultry, musky scent. Everyone loves 33, the life of the party. Tonka is the younger sibling, humbler, not without the same appeal. Sexier, imho.

Loved Smell of Fragrance............But!
There is a serious disconnect with the size and pricing for this perfume. Just imagine if you will, my shock upon opening the package to find the bottle was the size of rollerball container (for the 0.5 oz) and yet, the price I paid was $80.00!! Nope....nope.....nope........I immediately phoned Nordstrom regarding a return and refund. The size and quantity in comparison to the price, could not be justified.

Tonka 25 the newest offering from Le Labo definitely doesn't smell like Tonka at all, at least not to me anyway. Think of an accord you've never smelled before that's a bit indescribable and totally unisex, think unique. Nordstrom has the best offerings of high quality fragrances.
