Alpargata Plus Slip-On (Women)

In the interest of full disclosure, I just received the shoes today, so this review is based on initial impressions, not durability or comfort with wear. I have a low volume foot, and I'm also flat footed, so slip on shoes like this typically don't work for me. The vamp comes up pretty high on the foot, and the small elastic gore helps to snug it up, so this wasn't a problem. What a pleasant surprise! Having said that, I needed to size down to achieve a good fit. I appreciate the padded, removable footbed, which allows me to insert my prescription orthotics. It's also worth noting that there are some inaccuracies in the description. The "light silver" color is actually champagne (a nice, subtle metallic), and the material is metallic suede, not fabric. It's very soft and supple, and I hope it wears well and doesn't stretch out. Overall, I'm very pleased with the shoes.
