What it is: A unique cream foundation that creates a flawless, smooth finish.

What it does: Portable. Multiuse. Soft matte. This foundation features the nourishing Tom Ford Infusing Complex and creates a flawless, smooth finish. The portable stick achieves versatility in application for sheer, medium or full coverage. Always beautifully natural and undetectable. When used as a concealer, it swiftly diminishes imperfections, leaving behind a soft matte finish.

How to use: Swipe a brush over the stick and apply onto your face using wide, gentle strokes. Move outward from the center of your face. Alternatively, apply the product directly onto your face in gentle, sweeping motions from the center of your face outward and blend with brushes and/or your fingers.

Pro tips: This foundation can also be used as a concealer to diminish imperfections, leaving a soft matte finish.

Polished Perfection

I have a fair complexion with wam undertones (NC15) and found Tom Ford's stick foundation in Pale Dune to be the perfect match. I've worn various versions of stick foundation for over fifty years and can say unequivocally that this one by Tom Ford is the best I've ever come across. Whether you want light, medium or full coverage, this foundation is so effortlessly buildable that it can even be used as a concealer. Lightly dab it on your face (forehead, nose, cheeks, chin) so that it warms a bit and then use a cream foundation brush (not a paddle brush!) to blend it out for a smooth, even, and luminous finish that will look polished, poreless, and totally flawless all day. If you have areas of darkness or redness that you want to cover, you can easily add a bit more foundation and it will not look in the least bit cakey. Tom Ford's perfectionism is clearly at work in this excellent moisturizing foundation.

Old product

I’m thankful for the apps that allow for checking when the product was manufactured by using the code on the package. Unfortunately, my foundation stick is over two years old before even opening it. I knew the price was too good to be true. Hopefully this doesn’t apply to all the inventory.

Good foundation BUT OLD...

This isn't an issue exclusive only to Nordstrom, but I also checked at Macy's and Bloomingdale's counters as well. The stock they all have available for sale was manufactured, according to the batch code, in August 2021. I called the local Cosmetics Company Store that also sells Tom Ford products at huge discounts (33% to 60%) because they are ready to expire and asked for the batch code for this product that they have on hand. It was identical. Expiring August 2021. Why is Tom Ford selling old, ready to expire products to high end retailers? Why would anyone pay $90 plus dollars for a product that will start to smell funny in a few months? Not acceptable. Most consumers don't even know to check for batch codes. Nor should they have to. Do better, Tom.

Perfect

I wish I had purchased this a long time ago! I could have saved a lot of $ from not buying other foundations. This makes my skin look naturally beautiful. I don't have much blemishes, but I have redness under my nose and dark circles under my eyes. This foundation just melds into the skin seamlessly. This really looks just like skin. I have worn Chanel, Burberry, Guerlain, MAC, MUFE, Nars, Marc Jacobs, Benefit, Smashbox, and Shiseido and this beats them all by far! It is long-lasting, portable, and hydrating for my dry to normal skin. I use the TF cream foundation brush to apply. It is pricey, but a little goes a long way. I wear Sable and I am a Nc 30-35 in MAC for reference. It is well worth the investment, I highly recommend this foundation. But beware... Tom Ford's products are amazing and addicting!

HG Material

I am in love with this foundation. It may feel heavy upon initial application, but settles into a lightweight and natural-looking finish. This is a huge plus for me because I hate the feeling like you're wearing a ton of makeup. This is actually the first non-mineral makeup foundation I actually use. It hasn't broken out my sensitive/overreactive skin and does a good job in covering my redness. It can be applied lightly to achieve sheer coverage and can be built up to full coverage. I found the product easy to blend with their cream foundation brush (HG!) and it does photograph beautifully. I have been receiving compliments on my skin when wearing this foundation. Just yesterday, a woman said she wanted sheer makeup like mine even although I was wearing a ton of this product. The sales woman helping her didn't think I was wearing a medium/full coverage foundation. This foundation really looks natural, fresh, and glowing (and not the weird shimmer/overly dewy kind of way). My only gripe with it (nothing is perfect) is that it could use a little more of a yellow undertone to be my perfect match but that's easily corrected with finishing powder. I can see this foundation being a problem with people with either really oily or really dry skin. It does accentuate dry patches, but can be corrected with appropriate skincare.

Flawless Foundation Light - Medium Coverage

I loved this foundation. It has a water base. Any time I used a primer that was not also water-based it did not play nicely together. So be aware of the products you use with this. It has a very skin-like finish. It blended into my skin like a dream. It had a medium coverage but it was also easy to sheer it to light coverage and also build it up to full coverage as a concealer. It's like a one and done product for me. I personally don't have texture on my face. The main drawback I had with this product was that it clogs my brush and when I can't get my brush completely clean it affects the application the next time I use the product. Always start with a super clean brush, and you'll have a flawless foundation! I absolutely loved this! I will be buying this myself!

The holy grail of foundation sticks!!!

am a black woman and this is truly an amazing product! The makeup is virtually undetectable, but truly gives me the full coverage that I love! Also, this should be called long wear too! I have very oily skin and it didn't separate on my skin like most foundation sticks!!!
