Starr Moc Toe Loafer (Men)

To Boot NY shoes - although overpriced at full retail, are high quality. Their various offerings seem to have some of the softest, most supple leather and suede. I'd bought their shoes before and have experience with them. I really liked how these loafers looked in the sand color, so I ordered online. Unfortunately, as is sometimes the case with online shopping, the shoes look different in real life than they do in the online photos. Darker in person and not like the color of sand, as depicted in the online photos. I did also try these on in my home and will say that, although not horrendous, they are not comfortable to walk around in. Built for aesthetics not comfort, I guess. I'd rather have shoes that are a good balance between form, and function. Having to give them back. Oh well.. sometimes online shopping is a hit or miss ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

These are high quality loafers (as all other TBNY shoes I own), they are very light weight and suede is very soft. The reason I can't give these 5 stars is because the color "Brown" (as it's called here in the listing), which shows light "Sand" color in the pictures, in reality is more mouse-grey than brown or sand. I would describe it as medium grey with dark grey burnishing. Another negative for this model is it's very narrow, fits more like B width than D (which is medium). I don't have wide feet, but these loafers were very tight on my feet and borderline uncomfortable. They might break in, but because it's not the color I was looking for, I'll probably just return them and look for something else.
