'Stallworth' Cap Toe Boot

The boots are impressive looking. With that said, some notes. I have mostly Allen Edmonds and a pair of Ferragamo shoes The leather on these boots are thinner and softer than the others I have. So not sure the long term use these boots will be able to give me. Also, The outer soles seem synthetic as the other shoes I have are obviously leather soles. This also makes me worry about their long term use. Im not referring to the outer soles that touch the ground Im referring to the sole that is sewn to the leather uppers. The interior seemed to lack the support. Not sure if the insoles will mold much to my feet as they are broken in. I only say that because it really feels as if they lack the ability to do that. My other shoes you can feel that the insoles are giving as they are being broken in where as these boots do not give that impression. The sizing was close enough to what I wear in Allen Edmonds. For most of those lasts I wear a 10.5E and I ordered a 10.5 in this boot and it worked just fine. Overall, as I mention I am impressed with the look of this boot. Which is why you buy dress boots/shoes. But the details that make footwear last does not seem to be there. I am going to keep them. But in the future I will be buying the Allen Edmonds cap toed boot in different colors.

Ordered these for my husband and he LOVES them. The leather is very soft. They look very stylish and can be dressed up or down. CAUTION: They run big. After reading previous reviews we decided to order a1/2 size smaller than regular size. Had to return them and order one FULL size smaller than regular size. I love Nordstrom's fast shipping and easy returns.

All three colors of this boot are awesome and stylish. If you want to be a bit more flashy, you can also go with To Boot's "Brennan" wingtip - it's the exact same boot but with lots of broguing. After some debate, I ended up going for the Stallworth. The leather is soft as butter, and quality is just impeccable. It's a shoe you expect to last for years with the proper care. Size-wise, Italian boots seem to run quite large. I typically wear a 13 in sneakers and a 12 in boots. The Stallworth fit me well in size 11.5. These are not particularly comfortable shoes either, at least at first. Leather shoes do tend to break in over time, so I'm hoping that's what happens here. I didn't even really notice until I spent a full night bar-hopping downtown. Despite feeling comfortable when the night started, my feet were a bit sore by the time I walked home at 2:00. It's probably nothing compared to the discomfort that girls endure in some of the high heels they wear out to the bars, but it's definitely something I'm not used to. An alternative I might have considered back when I bought them would be to try on the size 12 with an insole. You might want to look into that when you make your purchase.

Very nicely made and a very comfortable boot. I am glad I read the reviews about the boots runninng large before I ordered. I usually wear a size 12 but instead I ordered a 11.5 and they fit nicely with room to wear heavy socks if I wanted.

The boot is great and disappointing at the same time. The leather is of good quality very soft and shiny. However the inner sole, a single layer of thin leather, does not provide any cushion. Therefore each step is very uncomfortable, as the alveolar rubber core of the inner sole presses against the foot. Only insoles could help; However the boot width (medium) does not provide space for insoles and a comfortable fitting at the same.

The craftsmanship of the boot is top notch. The fit is true to size. The burnished toe is much darker than it appears in the picture.
