Tiger Tales Oversize Cardigan

I've had my eye on Lala's oversized sweaters for awhile and finally decided to try this Tiger Tales design in S/M. I'm 5'7", 185 lbs, 38C, usually a 10-12/L-XL in bottoms and M-L for tops that are advertised as oversized. This sweater is beautifully made, buttery soft, and has a good amount of heft to it, but still flows nicely for a warm and cozy feel. The colors and design are so fun (exactly as pictured!) and it definitely has the oversized look as shown in the product photos. However, like some other reviews have mentioned, it does have this "ballooning" / "circular" affect at the hips. It's much more pronounced if you wear it with the buttons closed vs. open. Pairing it with tight fitting bottoms (leggings, pencil skirt, etc.) and wearing it unbuttoned does make it much more flattering and drapes well. I'm really on the fence about whether or not I'll keep it. I'm hopeful that in time it could break in a bit and the ballooning affect might be less apparent. Don't know if sizing up to L/XL would solve this problem or if I'd really be swimming in it. Tough call on this one as it really is a lovely statement piece!

Beautiful, medium weight cardigan! Excellent workmanship with roomy front pockets, and it launders well in the washing machine Without shrinking. The Fit is OVERSIZED! (For reference, I typically wear a U.S. misses 12-14, which would correspond to a Large. This item in the Small/Medium is Still Too Large for my frame, but I actually prefer the roominess so that I can layer it over other pieces. )
