Works but not for my 29er
This product will buy you 3” but you need double that if you own a Trek Xcaliber 8 29er. Such a shame I had to literally buy it to find out. Oh well life goes on.

The Thule RideAlong Low Saddle Adapter is not intended to change the fit requirements of the Thule RideAlong child bike seat. The change in shape from the standard attachment allows for more clearance around lower-slung saddles. Thule still recommends comparing your bike's measurements to the compatibility measurements listed in the user manual for the Thule RideAlong to confirm a safe fit with the bike seat.

Necessary Piece
I purchased the Thule RideAlong Lite for my toddler. When I tried to install it on my mountain bike (trek with 29" tires), it rubbed against my back tire. The description of this part is not good, but it does raise the RideAlong Lite another 3-4" above the tire and solved the problem. This part should come standard with the RideAlong.

Perfect fit
We bought the regular saddle and it did not work for our bike but then we got this one and it was the perfect fit! We are glad we found it!

Exactly what you need!
This adapter should be the one that comes with the child seat. Works great for our GT mountain bikes!

Most bikes don't need this adapter but if you do it's great. It feels very safe and secure.
