Not up to the Megababe standard
I wanted to LOVE this product as I do all Megababe products I've used. I read great things about the scent and was so excited to use I ordered 3. While the scent didn't disappoint, the actual texture of the product leaves much to be desired. Unlike their other deos (specifically Rosy Pits), Santal is more of a chalky texture. When I applied, it was think and left little white balls in my armpits. Needless to say this transferred to clothing. I even noticed a heavy product buildup on the underarm portion of my bras from using, which I never experienced before. My reco would be on Rosy Pits (which is clear) or even the Geo Deo which has a better overall consistency.

Wish it was clear!
Love this scent and the staying power it has! Great deodorant that lasts all day, and I donMt even mind the slightly chalky texture and application. But I wish it was clear! After a day of wearing it, it leaves white marks on my clothes under my arms, which I don’t like. I never had this issue with Rosy Pits.

Used to be a 5, now it's a 3 :(
I bought one stick back in March 2025, then loved it so much I bought two more in November 2025. At some point in between, something changed -- and I don't think it was me: The first stick's scent was much stronger and lasted longer; I've been using one of the two new sticks and cannot say the same. It certainly does not last 72 hours -- I shower at night and the faint scent is already gone by the time I put on my daytime clothes the next day. I am not sweating more or less, it just seems to...disappear. So would I recommend it to a friend? Yes, but only if they don't care about scent.
I'll keep using the sticks I have left (maybe something will change? something to do with the summer??), but I probably will not purchase any more.

Smells Expensive
I bought three sticks of this because of the hype surrounding the fact that it smells like that expensive French sandalwood perfume. It does smell like it. However, I was disappointed in the formulation. Of the three tubes I bought (at the same time), two of them were grainy, like it didn’t solidify properly during production. It also leaves a residue and stains my black clothing, Megababe is my go-to brand of deodorants but I wouldn’t repurchase The Santal.
