Perfect for dry or combo skin
This is the best daytime face cream I’ve ever used. I live at the beach and needed something with SPF that I could use daily and under makeup. This cream is perfect. I have drier skin so it really helps to moisturize. If you had oily skin it might not work.

Not worth the price
Ok, my bad for not looking at the size but $45 bucks for a .5 oz sample size is ridiculous not to mention the smell is unbearable that I just couldn't put it on my face. I tried it on my hands and it came out watery. Maybe the solution separated? Total waste of money.

Fair results, but horrible packaging
This is my first purchase of Elemis and I doubt I will purchase again. The product itself seems adequate enough, but the results were comparable to La Mer or other mid-to-high range skincare I'd been using---not dramatic enough for me to make a switch. It has a fragrance to it I find off-putting as well (but I'm not a fan of most fragrances). My biggest criticism is in the packaging: at first glance, you seem to be getting an impressive amount of product for the money, but once you get inside the box, then into the "jar"---a ridiculously oversized, clear plastic casing for the smaller plastic interior--you see how much you're actually getting, and the wastefulness of the packaging is... well, unacceptable, imo. There's also a plastic cover on the interior that got sort of stuck on after I first opened it (maybe because the product's gooey texture? idk)... not a huge deal, but still speaks to bad design.

Received expired item
This item was an online order and I was really excited to try this cream because I have heard so many good things. Sadly I received an expired container. I am really disappointed with Nordstrom and this review is solely on the fact that I was sent an expired face cream. When I contacted Nordstrom they honestly didn’t give me a satisfactory resolution. A total waste of money!

Irritating scent
If you are sensitive to scents, then steer clear of this one. It has a lingering, almost floral scent that irritates my nose and has occasionally given me a headache. I’ve tried using it up as body lotion, but the scent is just something I can’t get past.

sample size tube for big price
I like the product but do not see much line reduction. I purchased it for the additional sunblock. I have the same product without sunblock that had a better skin effect. The tube is so small it looks like a sample size. The price for this size is not really acceptable. I paid a bit more for a small but full size similar product. I also purchased the rose cleansing balm and its container is much larger than expected. I wouldn’t buy this product size again. The Elemis products are usually smell delicious and are excellent quality.
