My absolute favorite jeans
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I haven’t worn jeans in at least 4 years and these jeans changed that for me! They fit astoundingly well - perfect cinch at the waist, don’t squish my butt, not too tight on my thighs, and perfect length (I’m 5’3 and got my normal size 27). They fit so well I bought them immediately at full price after trying them on in store. Also just ordered 4 other perfect vintage wide-leg jeans/pants on sale hoping they fit the same!

Material wrinkles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looked great the first wear but then things went downhill. After washing they have all these little micro wrinkles in them. I’m not even sure ironing them out will work. And plus who wants to iron jeans. Big disappointment and waste of money.

Cute but…
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these jeans with boots, but the wide leg shape is off for me. I love a wide leg Jean, but these sort of taper at the bottom, making them feel wider near the top than the bottom. Still love the pockets and the overall look, but something to keep in mind!

super cute!
I don't normally write reviews but I had to for this item. I normally wear a size 26. Unless there is no stretch in the jeans, then I might have to go up a size. I read other reviews that this ran small, I disagree. I took my normal size 26.
What I did not do is take my normal length. I am 5'7" 128 pounds and I always get regular length. This time I went with tall length and they are just perfect. If you look at the model, the length stops at a funny point. For me, I wanted my jeans to go all the way down. So I went for it and got the tall length and they stop right at the floor. Perfect length, and look great. Nice fit and the high waist makes me look slimmer.
If you are my height, then go with the tall.

Ehhh
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like these so bad but I don't understand all the great reviews. They run one size small. I am 5'6", ~145lbs and typically a 28 in madewell jeans and ordered these in a 29. I really dislike that there's no button closure and just a hook,,,no thank you. I love anything madewell makes with these cute pockets but these will be going back immediately.

Get your usual Madewell size
I sized up to a 29 and they were too big. I should have bought my normal Madewell size, which is a 28 in non-curvy fits. I am pear shaped and was worried about my hips and thighs being too large after reading some of the reviews. I am returning the 29, they are noticeably too big around the waist, lower belly, and crotch. The denim is a thinner weave and I think it will stretch. I'm 5'10" and the tall was good for flats and sneakers. I think the leg is somewhere between a straight leg and wide leg, not a true wide leg.

Love love love!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These jeans are SUPER cute. Love the retro styling. My daughters say they make my waist looked "so snatched" lol.
I will say, at first I thought the 24s were too small for me so I passed them on to my teenager, who loves them (and they look amazing on her). After she wore them a few times they stretched out a bit, and then they fit me perfectly. So now we have this cycle: she wears them when they're fresh from the laundry (machine wash and tumble dry), then I wear them after a week or so, then I wash them so they'll fit her again. Everyone wins!
Planning to order them in vintage canvas as well and not sure if I'll size up to the 25s or not. The crotch seam does get a wee bit uncomfortable when I'm sitting for an extended time in these jeans, but that is pretty standard with jeans, I find.
