The One Daily Sun Cream SPF 30 Mineral Sunscreen

I bought this immediately when I saw the founder talking about it and applying it on her own skin. I have a similar medium-deep skin tone and am constantly looking for better mineral sunscreen for every day that isn’t tinted and doesn’t feel heavy when applying enough for full protection. Is this better than most mineral sunscreens I’ve tried? Yes. Does it still leave a white cast? Also yes. I tried it both on bare skin and over moisturizer and while the texture feels amazing going on it dries down pretty quickly and the white paste shows in my hairline and eyebrows. I tried rubbing more but it was there to stay. I wouldn’t call this “hydrating” but that could be great for oily skin. The bottle says to use 2 pumps (which is not usually considered enough for full SPF protection, but I followed the instructions). The yellow tint does cancel out some of the blue/purple, but that results in something that I still have to avoid getting on my clothes, and it doesn’t eliminate the slight white film (even after drying for 15 minutes). I will say it looked completely fine under makeup and the texture isn’t greasy and didn’t cause any pilling or breaking up of base makeup over the day. I think we’ve got to stop the narrative that completely invisible mineral sunscreen is achievable with zinc oxide alone. I also don’t appreciate the fear mongering on the bottle suggesting that chemical SPF has “dangerous chemicals” when ultimately this has been disproven, and wearing some sunscreen is safer than not wearing any because mineral formulas don’t work for you. Anyway I am super open minded and will continue trying every black owned brand until innovation catches up to our consumer needs. I say give this a shot but have realistic expectations!

I have very sensitive skin especially to SPF since I had my first daughter. I can’t use chemical sunscreens and some mineral sunscreens also cause me to have a reaction. I’m very, very picky so I was so happy when this one worked for me. No irritation or reaction and it goes on without a white cast and feels moisturizing on my skin. My only complaint is that I prefer a higher SPF but otherwise this is perfect!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this sunscreen. I recently had surgery and was left with a huge scar on my neck. I’ve been using GWS on the scar to make sure zero sun damage occurs, helping to prevent scarring. Its done the job and not irritated my very sensitive skin, with my scar reseeding daily. But perhaps the most significant result is that i recently ran out and resorted to my old “clean” sunblock. I broke out immediately. I’m in my early 40s and have dealt with adult acne off and on. It’s been under control for months now, so this breakout has perhaps exposed the culprit: my old sunscreen! Love the effectiveness. Love the feel. Love that it doesn’t leave me oily. Love how my makeup lays on top of it. Love love love.

I was in market for a new sunscreen and randomly saw this on Nordstrom and gave it a try! This is what dreamy sunscreens are made of! This is an amazing formula!! It’s so hydrating and nourishing for the skin with benefits of the sunscreen! This is one and done sunscreen for me. It has completely replaced my daily AM moisturizer. I do my skin serums and use this in place of my regular moisturizer! I love the buttery formula too! It absorbs and hydrates my skin so well. Please make one for night time routine too!
