Ms. Wingtip Penny Loafer (Women)

This shoe is so pretty and eye-catching. I was really excited about it, until I tried it on. It fit (runs TTS), but I just don’t see this shoe breaking in. The leather is SO stiff and the heel was really digging in towards the top. I didn’t even try on the second shoe to give it more thought. So disappointing for a shoe at this price range. It should feel like butter on. Too bad because it really is a very pretty shoe!

This is my first pair of The Office of Angela Scott footwear. After purchasing a pair of booties months ago in my standard designer size (10/40) and having to return them due to sizing issues, I figured this brand ran small. I went up a full size to an 11 for the Ms. Wingtip Penny Loafer and although they were stiff, they fit my narrow foot perfectly. The first time I wore them was to a family dinner and I didn't wear socks. And yes, by the end of the evening, my feet were almost bloody. After my heels, ankles and instep healed, I lined the back and tongue of the loafer with moleskin and wore thick socks for a few weeks. The loafer is made with a shiny textile covering leather so they did eventually stretch and mold to my foot. Today I am wearing these beautiful loafers to work without socks and they are comfortable. I have a large collection of designer flats (Louboutins, Valentinos, Ferragamos...) but I have never received as many compliments on a pair of shoes as I have with this pair of penny loafers.
