Very Warm Parka
I bought this NF Parka to replace one that I had for almost 12 years. The new parka is very warm and has a looser fit than my old one. I will be able to layer vests and sweaters under this parka. The new parka has snaps on the front placket rather than velcro, which is great. The velcro on my old jacket kept getting stuck on hats, mittens, etc. I also like the knit cuffs inside the sleeves. Really help keep your hands and arms warm. Yay!

Fabric Fades
I have had this coat for a year and the gray color has faded. Underneath the hood (because it doesn’t see sunlight) is a different color the arms have stripe/ripples. Very disappointing considering how much the cost cost.

Runs Small, otherwise awesome!
I should have known that this jacket runs small- I am 5’9” and 129 lbs, but have an athletic build and broad shoulders. So while I wear a 4 (sometimes a 2) I should have sized up. That said, the coat is fantastic- super functional and beautiful- the faux fur trim is gorgeous, and the color is a very dark navy, which I love. This coat is an essential part of a Midwestern winter wardrobe- I will no doubt get lots of use this season and for many to come!

Great Winter Coat
This is a quality winter coat from The North Face. I wear a size small in most clothing but decided to size up to a medium so I can wear thick sweaters underneath and have an overall more relaxed fit. I purchased this on sale, so I am doubly pleased.

Wanted to love it
I'm an elementary teacher and I was looking for a warm long coat for our northern Canada winters and recess supervision. The coat is nice and long (I'm 5'10") and the material is durable. However, the long puffer coat from the North Face I had before was much warmer. This hood doesn't stay up nicely and the wind blows through the snap holes that keep the fur on. It's more narrow in the shoulders and very wide on the bottom so wind would blow up the coat. Also, very disappointed that the colour faded very badly after 4-5 months worth of 15 minute supervisions - once a day, 5 times a week. The pockets are all still dark, under the hood and under the arms is dark and you can see where the fading is uneven all around.
