Flattering and Stylish
I just got this jacket and I love it! I cannot attest to how rain resistant it is yet but the fit and style is perfect! It is very flattering and I love that it’s longer in the back and the waist cinching is crucial. It might run a tiny bit small- I still can layer underneath but the sleeves feel a smidge short.

Was not actually waterproof, I was damp
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was very disappointed when I wore this hiking in some rain (not heavy rain but more than a drizzle) and I was damp and the inside of the coat was completely damp all over. It 100% was not sweat as I was cold and it was even damp at the bottom where it did not have direct contact with me. I really wanted to love this coat as it's comfy/adjustable and cute, but the main reason I bought it was for protection from wind and rain. I'm so disappointed as I expected better from Northface.

not great hood coverage
I just received this coat and have only worn it once so far. Northface’s label states this as waterproof, not water resistant, so this should be a pretty good raincoat. The only thing I’ve noticed after one wear is that the hood is smaller than I would like. I don’t have a large head but I like my hoods to come further out to protect the front of my hair and forehead from wet, and this one doesn’t do that. I’m 5’ 10” and 150lb and bought the medium.
