Great long coat for winter
This coat is so toasty,,I purchased the xs and it fits very nicely . I will say I have a little bit more room in his coat rather than the long Patagonia . It’s also warmer. The option of the hood to be taken off is great. Well constructed and the feathers don’t come out as easily as the Patagonia . Hits me a little longer like right above knee but that’s fine by me. Great buy!

Great coat!
Many reviewers said this coat ran large (??) - I am a Med in all my other NF but went with the Large with this one due to the shoulder area being tight. I purposely wore a sweater when trying this on at that store and I needed the extra room in the shoulders to allow for layering. I'm 5’8” and 155lbs for reference.

Northface FLOP
I really wanted to love this coat but....
Let me just say that I've been a Northface fan for many years, but this coat is not worth the $300 price tag. The hood is TERRIBLE- it does NOT stay attached! The slightest tug and the snaps come off. So something as simple as just pulling your hood up on a windy day and it just detaches. The snaps are SO CHEAP! Not to mention the hood has a weird shape, very unflattering. Another issue is I had feathers popping out within the firs 3 days. At first they were tiny ones, but now I have larger ones coming through.
I basically wear this coat without the hood, I wear a beanie hat.
I will say the coat is comfortable and easy to move in. But that's it. I live in Chicago and on the first windy wintery day I felt the air cutting right through the arms of this coat. It just doesn't measure up. I plan to return this coat and look into a different brand. For the price tag I expected more.

Hood comes off too easily
This jacket unfortunately has a snap on hood and the snaps release with and pressure applied to them. If you pull the hood on, it unsnaps. If you pick up the jacket by the hood, it falls off. I purchased this jacket to keep me warm in very cold weather, and found myself spending all of my time trying to reattach the hood. Will be returning this jacket and I never return anything.

Hood falls off!!!!
Ugh I wanted to love this coat but the hood unsnaps way too easy!!!! I almost lost the hood twice now because I did not realize it unsnapped. This coat is too expensive to have this malfunction!!!!
