Disappointed
Material quality is good but the size of capacity is NOT enough!
Luck no need to carry computer and textbooks to school.
Fit 2 inches binder, 1 subject notebook, 3 composition notebooks, 1 pencil case (box).
It is difficult to open the big compartment, if you put pens, pencils, a phone and calculator in the front package.

Lasted 3 months
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the Recon backpack for my son for 7th grade. It lasted about 3 months, but then the strap completely tore off. Tried to get it repaired by North Face since they say they have a 1-year warranty. However, the fine print is North Face doesn't provided shipping nor do they provided return tracking numbers. Everything is based on printing a form and you may or may not get the item repaired. Bottom line is this backpack most likely won't last a year for anyone and North Face won't stand behind the product, so I don't recommend this one.

Number 2 for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The vault is a great no nonsense backpack! I love the simplicity of it! It will get you from point A to Point B! It's Not a Surge or a Router! For the price point no complaints here!
