Excellent against wind and rain!
I bought this for a trip to Ireland. IT WAS PERFECT! It's waterproof and windproof. It's just a shell, so if it's cold, you'll want to put some layers underneath it. I'm 5'5 130# and I got a Medium which was really too big, but I thought that I'd have to layer underneath it. A small would have probably been better, but I bought it online so I didn't try on the small. Hope this helps you!

Disappointed
I was so looking forward to getting this rain jacket to take on an upcoming trip. Unfortunately it’s not the same color as pictured. Online the jacket looks like an army green but it’s actually taupe (see picture) Also, it runs small in my opinion. I normally wear a 10 so based on previous reviews I ordered a medium. Will sadly be returning.

not so green raincoat
Not sure what happened with the color. I thought I ordered the new taupe green one, (tag says new taupe) there is nothing green about it see - pic attached. I like it anyway so keeping it Love the Adjustable waist

Great look!
The cute jacket ran a little snug through the bust, (I’m a 36DD)so I exchanged for a large.Not much different in the arm length or over all length . I love the complete style of this jacket!!!

Really repels the water!
Love this trench! Very lightweight and good quality as with all Northface outerwear. Cinched the adjustable belt to create a more fitted look. Wore it in a downpour and it totally repelled the water! My new go to jacket!

3rd time is the charm
I just bought this coat recently after trying a HH raincoat and RAINS coat. I was looking for a coat to wear to Paris that was classy yet comfortable. I am 120 lbs., 5'5" and bought a M because I found it to be a little tight in the shoulders. I wanted some extra room to wear it over a sweater. The fabric is very nice for a waterproof coat (although admittedly I did not wear it in the rain yet). This was a big drawback of the HH and RAINS coat-they were very rubbery and smelled funny. The pockets in this coat are great...very deep and have zippers (also a feature missing in the HH and RAINS coat). The coat zippers and buttons. The coat does seems to fan out a lot at the bottom--seems like too much fabric and not as streamlined as I would like. I wish there was a belt rather than the cinch waist buckles to add a little more style. It has a nice hood. It is a coat you can dress up or dress down.
