'Arctic' Parka with Removable Faux Fur Trim Hood

Love love love this coat! It's ultra thick and warm for colder winter days. Has a cinched waist to give a little shape so it doesn't look like you're wearing a box. I chose the indigo color which looks good with black leggings and black boots. I'm 5"6' 125 lbs and usually wear an xs or s on top. The xs was very tight so if you're between sizes you may want to order up.

It's super warm and not too bulky. I've been looking for a warm coat without looking like I have a comforter wrapped around. The quality is superb. I am 125lbs, 5'4" and the small fits perfectly. Love it, should have bought this along time ago. Shipping was fast, love Nordstrom.

No stars for this jacket-- ordered Medium and a small neither was a good fit for my 22yr old daughter whom usually loves NorthFace. Also very heavy in weight and cumbersome--bulky. And what happened to all the 600 's this year. Bought a 550 on order and was told it was a 600. Big difference in warmth between the two--last years 600 's were much superior.

I've been in Chicago for almost 2 years now and felt like this winter I needed a longer coat. I'm loyal to TNF, as they're products have always been high quality. I got this parka in the black olive green, which has a complete lime green lining. I love the spice that the lime green adds. The faux fur is removable, which makes for a nice switch up in style. The two front pockets are very deep and allow me to go outside without gloves, which is nice. The arm cuffs have an inner elastic around the wrist to keep the wind from sneaking in. I love that I can go outside (here in Chicago) and not feel cold at all when I'm in this jacket. It's a little bit longer than I'd like it to be. Last winter, I only wore an extremely light down jacket, so I'm getting used to the bulk of this parka, but for its warmth, is worth it. I'm most pleased with the color and if I had to pick something to be displeased about, it'd probably be the length, but even this has its benefit. I am 5'6 and 120lbs and ordered a size small. I feared that it might not be the best fit, so ordered an XS to compare. The small was definitely the right choice for me, as other reviewers have mentioned, the chest area is a little tight. I'm a pretty slim person with a rather small chest and the XS was just too tight in the upper chest/area.

This coat is nice and warm, covering below the thighs. It's easy for getting in and out of the car, but also warm for walking. I really like that it's not bullky. The belt at the waist gives shape, and doesn't feel as puffy as so many other down coats. As it is a North Face, I'm sure part of the price is just for the brand name. But it is a well made coat that I believe I will have and use often for several years.

This jacket is truly fantastic. WARM, stylish & fits well. I live in Chicago and commute to work on the train & have a several block walk between. This keeps me toasty and I actually have to unzip it quite often. I have worn this in both heavy snow and sub zero temperatures and have been very comfortable. The jacket is nearly to my knees in front, and slightly longer in back. Arm length is good and I love the fitted cuffs! A few other reviewers mentioned that this runs small- I disagree. I am a S/M in top, depending on brand, and I took a S in this. Plenty of room for layers- both a flannel + cardigan, and a chunky grandpa sweater have fit comfortably underneath. 10/10, would buy (again & again) and definitely recommend!
