Warmest Jacket Yet
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is probably my fave jacket I own. It's warm and puffy. I stuck with size small & it still fits a heavy sweater underneath. I'd originally got the Medium but its boxy fit was way too huge. The small was just right & long enough in the sleeves. The side cinches help too. I've had it out in the rain & it's definitely water "resistant" but not repellent, which is fine, not advertised as such. I like the detachable hood option. I have a similar NF version but tan & I love this burgundy color as it lasts longer without having to wash as much. It's a great length, just a little cropped & flattering. Get lots of compliments on it for chilly north Cal weather. Overall I'd totally recommend. Just don't size up and you'll be fine.

Do not buy this jacket not worth it

Crop snow man jacket
The quality of the jacket is nice. It feels warm. But the sizing is off since this coat runs extremely large. I typically order XXL or 2X (plus size) in Northface outerwear. The coat makes me look like a bulky snow man. In this jacket, I will exchange it for a large since I usually wear vests in the winter underneath my winter coat. Please size down if ordering. I forgot to read the reviews when I made this purchase otherwise I would have selected the correct size. If oversize is the fit and look you like, then this coat would be winner to keep. As for me, I will exchange it for a smaller size.

Cropped and boxy

It is cropped, boxy and wide, which I was looking for in order to wear over sweaters (with room to spare). I bought the "urban brown" color which I love. I like that the hood can be removed.
