Big Mistake
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So mad at myself for not reading the other reviews before purchasing as “final sale.” This is my fourth pair of Madewell boots so felt confident I would love them like past purchases. Literally have bruises all the way around my lower calves after four hours of wear, mostly sitting at a desk. No way to break them in. Clearly a design flaw. Very disappointing Madewell would continue to sell this product after all the negative reviews and legitimate complaints.

Stylish but not my fav
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought some classic black boots from Madewell years ago and fell IN LOVE. I wear those tattered things to this day. Thought I'd add a brown pair to my collection but unfortunately, these are not it. The toe is much narrower and heel too high. They are super cute and I will still wear then (no return option, sigh), but they just aren't as comfy. RIP to the square toe low heel boots--bring them back Madewell!

Stylish
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A very stylish and relatively comfortable bootie, with high quality leather. However, I have found that it can be somewhat uncomfortable where it’s opening meets above my ankle/lower leg. It’s a strange height, so I’ve had to get used to walking in them, especially going down the stairs. Overall, I like them.

2.5 inch heel
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every time I wear these booties, I feel so much taller thanks to the 2.5 in heel. It does get tiring walking in these booties all day, however, so I recommend for work or events but not really for walking around town.

Cut the side of my leg
On both sides of my leg at the top of the boot they rub and have left small cuts. With this style there is no give in the shaft of the boot. I do not have a wide calf. I’m 5’2 for reference. Unless I wear thick socks these are unwearable for me. I do not recommend.
