What it is: A two-step resurfacing vitamin C peel that brightens and smoothes skin.
What it does: Vitamin C helps the skin's natural collagen levels and the microdelivery system allows for maximum penetration of vitamins and antioxidants into the skin for optimal results. The peel helps exfoliate dead skin cells from the surface of skin to reveal a brighter complexion.
How to use: Apply a teaspoon of the peptide resurfacing crystals to clean, dry skin. Once applied, crystals should appear almost like a mask. Gently massage in a circular motion over entire face for up to 60 seconds, avoiding the eye area. Do not scrub. Then place a generous teaspoon of the lactic/salicylic acid activating gel in the palm of your hand. Massage gel onto fingertips, and apply on top of crystals. As the activator is applied, a warming sensation will occur. White foam will appear, indicating activation. Leave foam on for 2 to 3 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

Not for me.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I used this twice and both times it made me break out. Definitely won’t use again. I was so excited because it seems like a product I would love but unfortunately it’s a no for me. Definitely left my skin soft AT FIRST, but both times I was broken out the very next day.

Gentle Peel That Helps Brighten and Smooth Skin

MultiStep for smooth skin
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a two step situation. The first step is in a jar and you scoop out a bit and gently apply to the face and rub - gently - for about 30 seconds. This is thick and gritty and exfoliates so don’t push hard. The second step is in the bottle and is a watery liquid activator. You apply that on top of step 1 and then let it sit. When you rinse, skin feels really smooth and surprisingly no irritation. I am actually loving this form of vitamin c as many serums irritate and turn me bright red. This is your vitamin c, peptide and exfoliation (physical as well as salicylic and lactic) all in one without being harsh. My skin feels fresh, smooth and ready for sunscreen and makeup. I wasn’t expecting to like this but I do and I’d recommend.

Gentle formula that delivers soft, smooth skin!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve enjoyed the results this vitamin C resurfacing peel from Philosophy has gave my rougher, dry skin. I’ve been using it on a weekly basis, and find my skin to be much smoother, softer and brighter throughout the week. The fine crystals (step 1) are easy to apply, and blend well on the face without causing me any sensitivity or feeling rough. The activating gel (step 2) has an oil based texture that absorbs quickly into the crystals, and the skin. These two give a warming sensation when blending in, and a soft, gentle exfoliation that you can feel working. I let this combo sit and work together on my face for three minutes before rinsing thoroughly with warm water. Once removed, my texture feels instantly softened, and my skin has a beautiful healthy brightness to it. I would highly recommend this peel for anyone suffering with dull, rough, and uneven skin!

Resurfacing takes works but Im lazy
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first step was very interesting, it starts to crystallize a bit, and then then adding step two really what made it look crazy. I mean, beauty is pain, but I'm not sure if the multi-steps are for me. However, I do see a more polished look after a few weeks of using it. I'm not a fan of using my fingers to apply and can get messy. As a certified lazy girl, bedtime has to be quick. I like it, but not enough to spend too much time doing this for the long term. Overall, it works, but not for my routine.
