The Half Pipe High Waist Wide Leg Ankle Jeans

I finally dipped my toe in the barrel jean trend with this pair by Mother. I have been so hesitant to try them but now that I have I love them. I will say that these are higher waisted than I’m used to. And was struggling on how to style them for winter but finally pulled this look together. I am typically a 26 in Mother and that’s what I purchased in these. For reference I am 5’6” 127 lbs. Hope this info helps!

The order was placed by my SA at Nordstrom; apparently the order was correct but unfortunately I received a blue jean in size 28 instead of my white two sizes too big / wrong item….I don’t have time to go return and reorder. So disappointed! I am shocked by so many recent mistakes made by the employees who ship the orders; sending wrong size and wrong color; last error was totally missing items; overall second mistake this year. I am hesitant to ever order online. Let’s see if the call will fix their mistake. Total waste of time …please train your employees to pay attention to what they are shipping

I haven't been able to find a pair of "oversized" jeans yet that look good on my curve frame (145lb 5'3"). These are perfection. The piping is sliming, the fabric is thick enough that the off-white doesn't add weight if you aren't extra lean, and best of all, WOW are these comfortable. I feel like I'm wearing workout leggings versus a pair of stylish jeans. I usually wear a 27. Ordered a 28 because the 27 was sold out, and it still works quite well. Definitely roomy, but given the relaxed style it doesn't look obviously large.

I'm a huge Mother fan - have several styles that I wear almost daily - but I was hesitant to try the barrel jean as I suspected it would not be flattering on me (I'm 5'4"). I was pleasantly surprised to see that this barrel style was not exaggerated at all, and the piping on the sides really provides an elongated look. I plan to wear this with black tops and shoes (as the model). I can see myself dressing this up with heels or down with sneakers as appropriate. Love.
