The Criss Cross Roller Heel Jeans

When I received the jeans today, it was immediately clear they had been previously worn. They were noticeably shrunk, the hems were wavy, the interior tags were stained blue from washing, and one of the back tags had even been torn out. For a premium brand, like Mother, this condition is especially surprising and honestly really disappointing. I spoke with a specialist and then a supervisor, but neither was able to offer anything beyond returning the jeans for a refund. The issue is that this pair is the only one available in my size, and I purchased them because I genuinely wanted this item, not a refund. I’m also concerned that if I return them, they’ll simply be resold to someone else as new, which doesn’t feel right and doesn’t align with the level of integrity I’ve always associated with Nordstrom. I want to feel confident shopping with Nordstrom and trust that the products I receive are truly new and accurately represented. Right now, that trust has taken a hit, and I’m hoping you can help make this right so I can continue being a loyal customer.

Please see other description of receiving used Criss Cross Mother jeans. She was concerned someone else would receive the used pair if she returned them. I’m that “lucky” someone. The jeans I just received exactly match the pics in that review: same wavy bottom hemline; shrunk in wash; same blue stained Mother tag; same ripped out tag. The price tag on the jeans is not original Mother tags, but the tags Nordstrom uses when original tags have come off/been removed. I’m extra disappointed because I kept checking for my size and was so happy when I finally found it. I agree that Nordstrom quality standards have slipped. I’ve received a few shipments in the last year that were a different brand and/or size than what I ordered, but the tags were incorrect. When spending this much on jeans, they should be new. Else, mark them down and send them to the Rack.

Mother jeans are always a solid buy. I found this particular style to be true to waist size. They are way too long but Nordstrom alteration services are wonderful so this isn't an issue. They are very chic and I am very much looking forward to wearing them once I get them returned from alterations.
