The Bookie Twist Seam Bootcut Jeans

As a petite woman, I had been eyeing the "lil lemon twist" since they were released. However, when I finally pulled the trigger and got them, they were just too high waisted and too much material for my frame. Sadly I returned them and figured I'd live without the look...until I saw these! I have long been a fan of the Mother Bookie jeans and have 3 pairs in other washes, so I didn't hesitate to try these. At 5'2 and just shy of 100lbs, I'm between a 23 and 24 in this cut so I grabbed both to see which worked best and I'm keeping the 23's. If you're between sizes and going for more a a loose fit, I'd go with your larger size. I did not want these to be baggy. The 23's are still a tiny bit loose in the hips, legs and thighs. Also, keep in mind these are a rigid denim with no stretch, but they do give over time with wear. I am short waisted and the rise on me is just below my belly button, which I find comfortable. For a short girl, I have pretty long legs and they are long enough to wear with a low heel but will still work with flats and sneakers. As another review states, I'd say they are closer to a 30 inch inseam on the size 23 rather than the advertised 31 inch. Hope this helps! I'm thrilled to have added these to my Mother denim!

I give a super high five to the petite client that suggested the bookie twist in regular womens vs ordering the mother denim lemon twist. her sizing theory worked for me and I sized down to a 23 (usual 25p in all the lil mother weekender styles (which all sizes should try first in your regular or petite size, if you want the best style imo that mother offers - weekender layover or nip in the butt). thank you for saving me time in getting the right fit/size for my first bookie! in twist!! that's how reviews should be done!!

I typically in a size 25 in mother jeans, but I bought these in both sizes 25 and 26. I feel like the 25 was too tight yet the 26th was a little too loose and didn’t look right. So unfortunately, these both will be returned. They are great light wash for summer and I like the seam down the front but I found a pair of mother denim I liked more.
