Dovetail Wooden Dollhouse

This is a wonderful doll house. It does require someone who knows what they’re doing to assemble it but well worth the effort. Beautiful well-made and great for the imagination. My three-year-old granddaughter loves it as does her seven-year-old brother allowing for hours of interactive play.

Mostly made of MDF and it off gassed so badly during assembly that I had to stop because the smell burned my eyes and throat. Paint and glue work is sloppy. I am very curious about the third party testing because it surely doesn't smell safe. Picking up again, I found two pilot holes that didn't match and the hidden one can't be moved because the screw would go into thin plywood. Thus, it cannot be assembled. Now, I have to break it back down and figure out a way to repackage it for return.

With the high price of this item my expectations were very high. Not only did this doll house have a few ding marks and scratches on the wood, there was also a manufacturers defect on one of the final pieces. After spending 4hrs putting it together, there was no pre-drilled hole to snap the front of the house in. Was on the phone with customer service for another hour and they were ultimately unable to assist with any solutions for replacing or fixing in time for Christmas. My husband ended up drilling holes himself so our kids could have their intended Christmas present. I was shocked at lack of support we received from Nordstrom and the quality of such an expensive item.
