Everything about suit is great except sizing

I really like everything about this suit - material, finish, style, color, but their sizing is off. They recommend ordering a size up which I did and the pants generally fit with some minor alterations. The jacket sort of fits, but I know a size down on the jacket would fit me perfect. In general for this suit, the jacket is correct for the stated size. The pants are small for the size.
