'Miyaa' Embroidered Mesh Fit & Flare Dress

As I was looking to do a quick intimate wedding, came across this dress. I fell in love instantly, even showing it to relatives. Everyone agreeing it is beautiful. Comes rather quickly. I was so excited I hung it high in my dressing room contemplating it, waiting for the right moment to try it on. The color is like a french vanilla with a little shine on the detailed embroidered trees (mine came with trees). Initial excitement turns into nightmare, this dress makes me look fat. I mean, it literally ruins the body of a natural well endowed woman. I have all the curves. 34 D and 29 in jeans. I'm also somewhat a tall woman at 5'9, so I tend to look slender. In this dress I look like I'm going to my first communion but having eaten all the cake and candy. The high waist is about empire waist in my body. And the obvious effect of the accordion pleating is to open wide as it reaches HIPS. Ugh. I can't zip it up. On the side. Wait. Zipper? The picture number 2 shown here has back buttons and a beautiful design. Not on mine. The puffiness of the pleating makes it look like I have a huge tummy (or I get married because I'm pregnant). I am willing to say, this dress has depressed me. Truly is beautiful. Not recommended for tall curvy busty or women with hips.

i love this dress. it's so perfect. i went to the wedding suite at the downtown seattle nordstrom for my final wedding dress fitting. on my drive over, i was just commenting to my friend that i wanted to find a rehearsal dinner dress. my actual wedding dress is black, so i thought doing something a little more traditional for the rehearsal and civil ceremony days before the reception would be nice. i was just browsing as i waited for my dress to be brought back and picked this dress up off the rack to try on for fun. they ended up having my size (TB 0; normal US sizing 0, 5'4", 115lb, athletic build), and it fit perfectly. like another reviewer noted, the zipper gets a little stuck at the waist seam (much like other dresses and skirts), but you just have to work it a little to get it up so it slides easily. the fit and flare is really flattering -- i have a pretty straight up and down shape, sit it added a nicely whittled waist. it's also just so fun and girly that i couldn't help but prance around the fitting room and twirl :). vomit, i know. anyhow, the embroidery on the illusion neckline is so pretty. it's something between feathers and fern strands...feels very forest-whimsical. love it and highly recommend this dress.

This dress has major hanger appeal and is even more beautiful on. I bought it for my upcoming city hall wedding, and it is absolutely perfect. I am a pear shape, 5'6'', usually a medium in most clothes, and I ordered the 2 (US 6). The zipper is a little tricky at first-I had a hard time getting it up over the waist seam, but as I've tried in on numerous times (cause I'm obsessed) and lost a few lbs, it's no problem at all. The mesh and embroidery on the top is something I'm going to have to be careful about when I wear it on my wedding day because it's so beautifully delicate that I'm sure I'll rip it if I'm not careful. There is just enough tulle on the skirt to make it a special dress, and I love the accordion style material of the skirt. It's just very classy and very different from most dresses. I can't say enough about this dress. I fell in love with it online, and it was confimed when I saw it in person. I have heels for the ceremony and flat sandals for our reception...it looks great with both. Love.

I bought this dress for my upcoming intimate wedding. I fell in love with this dress online and couldn't wait for it to arrive. The dress came and the dress was beautiful. The details were as pictured, if not better, well made, etc. However, when I put the dress on, I looked like a little girl going to a cotillion event. The tulle in the skirt would not stay down and the waist was a little too high, which added to the youthfulness. I do not have particularly young-looking features and have never encountered this issue with a dress before. I returned the dress the next day and the search continues. Perhaps this issue would not be present for somme, but the dress looked much less elegant and sophisticated on me than as pictured on the model online. As always, Nordstrom's shipping, shopping experience, and return policy were excellent.

I bought this dress for my upcoming civil ceremony and was very impressed when I received it. It is beautiful. However, the dress has the look ,but not the fit. I loved the vintage appeal, but if your trouble spot is your midsection ...forget about it! I looked like the letter "A" and a child dressed up for her communion. This sadly is going back and my search will continue.

Love the details the feather design made it look lovely and elegant for my wedding . My only concern is the zipper it's so so hard to close it alone and you gonna need help but i did it a lone and it took me 5 mins to close it this is my only negative thing about this dress . Also i would say the toll inside the dress it's kind of messy you need to arrange it in a proper way but in some how it's charming and it balance the dress in good way and removing the layering wouldn't make it look that nice . Am 165 cm and my weight 63kg and i bought the size 6 and it fit perfectly and i am Pear shape fuller from the hips and bottom and smaller on the top so am so picky with my dresses because i don't like the fitted dresses and this one made me look amazing . I received it on time it was super fast delivery thanks to nordstrom love this website and also ted baker ...good luck .
