- No license needed: FRS two way radios designed for outdoor adventures and off grid communication with up to 35 mile range in optimal conditions. Bluetooth connectivity lets you pair with the TALKABOUT® app for location sharing, off grid messaging, and easy radio management.
- Compatibility & Use: Operate on Family Radio Service (FRS) frequencies (462–467 MHz) and communicate with other FRS/GMRS radios set to the same channels and privacy codes. Not compatible with smartphones for cellular calls or non FRS devices.
- Channels & Privacy: 22 channels with 121 selectable privacy codes for interference reduced group communication.
- Power & Battery: Includes NiMH rechargeable battery packs with up to 16 hours of battery life; also supports standard AA batteries (not included) for extended use. USB C charging provides modern convenience.
- Weather & Alerts: NOAA weather channels with alert support help keep you informed about changing conditions. IP54 weatherproof rating resists dust and splashing water.
- Bluetooth & App Features: Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) enables pairing with compatible smartphones to share locations, send off grid messages, and control select radio functions through the TALKABOUT® App.
- Display & Convenience Features: Backlit LCD shows channel and battery status. Built in LED flashlight enhances visibility in low light; vibration and call alerts provide signal notifications.
- What’s Included: Two radios, two rechargeable battery packs, two USB C to USB A charging cables, two belt clips, and personalization stickers.
- Care: For indoor and outdoor casual use. Protect from prolonged impacts and excessive moisture when not in operation. Charge using the provided USB C cables or switch to AA batteries as needed.
