Sheath Dress

Bought it in red. I had shopped over a year for the perfect red dress for work. This is it. Material holds you in. Faux pockets with zipper, and neckline give it interest. Very slenderizing. I get so many compliments on this dress. I'm going to buy it in the teal. It's my favorite dress I've ever owned. Versatile. Professional for work. No jacket needed. Can be worn after hours too. I'm very happy with it.

The dress is lovely, and I love the simple design. I ordered it in an attempt to break out of my nothing-but-boatnecks rut. Unfortunately, the standing collar seemed to accentuate my jowels. This would be a great dress for a younger woman or an older woman with a "restored" jawline.

I loved the dress. I loved the fact that it was "winter weight" and actually had sleeves! Wow what a concept. However, I had to return the dress because although it says "Regular and Petite" there was no option to select petite. I thought well I'll just order a regular. Although the front of the dress looked fine, the back gaped away from my back because it was too long from the shoulder to the waist. It would have driven me crazy, so I sent it back. It fit very well otherwise. I would have kept the dress had it been a petite.

In my petite size category only one colour, black, was available. Why? The fabric was not nice , had an odd plastic feel, and the fit was wrong. I have been finding that many of the synthetic fabrics are unpleasant to wear and don't drape/ hang nicely. Disappointed.

Very very nice dress. The material is excellent. It has sleeves!! And the neckline is flattering but not at all revealing. It's confident but not sexy. You could wear this to work and an event after work and feel amazing all day. So-- the fit. I would say it runs TTS with a little "give" for your tailor to work with. On me, because I am a little thicker in my mid-section, it was just a bit snug in the waist, while comfortable to loose in the bust and hips, but if you are an hourglass figure with top and bottom close to the same size it should fit like a dream. I ordered the regular version as I typically do in dresses (I'm 5'4"), but this was too long in the torso for me by far -- the zipper puckered out quite a bit.
