Seamed A-Line Dress

What is there not to like about this dress? It fits well, great colors, well made and lined. In addition the price is right. I bought this dress in charcoal and it is to me a light charcoal which is great for my season (clear spring). The picture makes it look bluish but its's not. I am 5'4 and have an apple body shape but keep my self as slim as possible. My weight is between 135-140. It is a beautiful dress with pockets in the front. I bought this in a 10 petite and bought a nice silk floral plaid scarf from Echo along with nude color kitten heel slingback shoes. I also wear a spanx slip type dress underneath. Is very comfortable and looks great! Sorry for all the details but if you fit into my category then I highly recommend.

This dress is amazing! I purchased the blush and cobalt. I am 5'5, 34D, and 115 pounds. I purchased a size 2 and it was perfect. The dress sits slightly above my knee and is the perfect length for work or a date night. The blush is a very pale pink that looks gorgeous with nude pumps and a dark gray blazer. The cobalt blue is a beautiful shade of blue. I've received many compliments on these dresses. I plan on buying more colors.

I ordered this dress in hopes of the slight a-line fitting my curvy body. Sure enough, it fit, but oh my goodness it aged me 40 years. I have no idea how this dress can look so young and fresh on the model, but made me look matronly!! It was awful. And the placement of the pockets just scream, "Look at my not 100% flat stomach!!" I ordered two sizes and my normal size fit, but both dresses will be going back to the store immediately. I would very highly NOT recommend this dress simply because it is not as shown in the picture and the pockets are in the absolutely worst place for a woman's body. If they had been put on the side seams they would be great, but because they're on the front of the dress they bring a lot of attention to a not usually flattering part of a woman's body.

Dress fit true to size and the color was what I expected but when I looked at the back I was amazed at how prominent the zipper is. The zipper is completely visible with no attempt to hide it and is very large and shiny gold. So you have this plain, classic dress with this crazy prominent zipper. Makes the dress look very cheap. First purchase from Nordstom's and most likely my last.

This dress is gorgeous. I got the green color, which is a rich emerald and looks nicer than in the pictures. I am 5'3", 120 lbs with a smaller waist/bigger chest and I ordered the 2P, my normal size. It's very figure flattering without being too clingy/tight, and hit maybe an inch above the knee. Perfect for work. I tried on the regular 2 at the store and while I could have gone with that too, the P defined my curves better. The pockets are a nice touch and don't stand out at all (unless of course you're walking around with your hands or something in them). I will say that the seems along the bum don't lay as nicely as I might like, and the zipper isn't as smooth as I would like. But those are minor quibbles. Overall it's a great dress that is great for work but can easily be styled for other occasions as well.

I bought two of these, 10P in charcoal grey and navy, love everything about the dress but most of all, the zipper does NOT pucker down my back. I am only 4'11, and going on 45 - I don't want to show my upper arms in dresses anymore, so I love the sleeves, the length is just above my elbow and the dress works perfectly on its own or with a jacket. The fit is so comfortable, the thick stretchy material hides imperfections and the seams work with your body. If this came in a v-neck, I would buy every single color. As it is, the jewel neckline doesn't make my chest look too large (34DDD), but I know a V-neck would be just a bit nicer. For the price, get a few of these wardrobe staples and wear them with or without jackets, scarves, statement necklaces, sweaters, etc. On days you don't know what to wear, you'll kinda wish you had a few.
