Once Every Seven Years
After scouring my closet for an appropriate dress for my annual dress-up party, I realized that it was time to dust off my wallet and invest in a new cocktail dress. Now that I'm sixty my criteria for a November party dress is somewhat limited; no sleeveless for my 60 yr. old arms, no plunging neckline for my amble bustline (please, oh please, don't make me wear a strapless bra) and the hemline must pass the scrutiny of my daughters (and my conscience). Presto! Found it on Nordstrom.com. I ordered the Tadashi Mesh Stripe Fit and Flare Black little number in a not so little size (really, who would I be kidding). I anxiously awaited the delivery and ripped open my box carefully not tearing up any return paperwork. I hung it in the doorway to my closet for four days before I gathered the courage to try it on sans Spanx. To my utter disbelief it fit perfectly! Not too young looking, not too frumpy, no tell-tale bulges. Success! I can now put this darling number in the "Party Dress Rotation" which I add to every seven years. Hopefully there will be another perfect dress in 2020.

Itchy, Scratchy and Tight
I'm a huge fan of fit-and-flare dresses, and jumped at this one when it was on sale. I had read other reviewers' comments about tight sleeves, but elected to ignore them, swayed by the seductive appearance of the dress in the photo. Shoulda listened! The sleeves really are incredibly tight and, to make matters worse, every fiber in both the opaque and the translucent portions of the dress is rock-hard. The dress felt like a medieval torture device.

WOW
Tried this on for my husband when it arrived, his reaction: "that is the best dress you have ever worn"
The vertical pleats make waist look tiny and the mesh insets on top and bottom give the sense of being covered up and elegant but yet totally sexy. If I had any small complaint, being 5'9" the sheerness at the bottom hits pretty high up on the thigh -- but I guess you only live once :) Can't wait to wear!

Beautiful Dress BUT upper sleeves tight!
I fell in love with this beautiful Dress online. Tadashi Shoji has such an elegant design, its hard to pass up for the price!! I ordered it on line to pick up in store. Brought it home tried it on (size S) the fit was OK with the exception of the upper sleeves, they do run quite small, the fabric does stretch BUT, they are still tight which makes it hard to pull all the way to my shoulders. The waist runs large, a little too large, the length is perfect. I didn't see a problem with my bra showing or the sheer area being to high on the thigh. I am pretty conservative!! I called Nordstrom about maybe ordering an XS but was told the arms would be even smaller UGH... So Customer service offered me to bring in the dress for tailoring which I will do, the dress is just gorgeous enough to have tailored. I refuse to return it, lol its that AMAZING! To give an idea of my fit on my body type, I am a thin, tall 5'8" with narrow hips long thin legs large chest 36D, 28" waist, 35" hips. I couldn't believe the Small fit my chest BUT, it does, with a little room. This dress is figure flattering on my body type. If you have my body type, you'll love the dress. I only gave 4 *'s for the sleeves fitting SO TIGHT...I would absolutely recommend this beautiful dress, can't stress that enough!! I only gave measurements to give a perfect idea of fit. Usually people post they love the dress and say what doesn't fit BUT> they never give there measurements which WILL truly help one ordering online. I always buy online!

Youthful dress
I love this youthful trendy dress. I bought four dresses from Nordstroms online and this is the dress I chose to wear to my work/awards ceremony. I am a size 16 hourglass figure, busty body type at 5'6. This dress complimented my figure nicely and the length hit me at my knees, perfect. It felt sturdy, thick material and comfy but may be to warm in the summer months. The only problem I had was that at the shoulders the seams were a bit pointy and did not lay flat. I think my arms hit the sheer part at the wrong area but it is not that noticeable and I still wore the dress and received compliments. I think the dress is on trend and fashionable, not boring. I loved it.
