T-Strap Ballet Flat (Women)

First the positive. These are beautiful Gucci ballerina flats with a unique T-strap that quietly featured the Marmont GG logo. They are also very comfortable. The negative. The elastic that attaches the thin straps to the buckle feels super flimsy and like it will snap after a few wears. Also the buckle itself is so super tiny - it was difficult fidgeting with it to try and adjust the fit around my ankle. Sadly I returned. I ordered in both the black and also the nude/rose color - both beautiful. But for $900 a pair I don’t want the straps to feel so delicate.

The downside of patent leather is that it takes a little bit of work to get them acclimated to your feet. They are not very forgiving and do not stretch easily just by wearing alone. That being said, I stretched them overnight with wooden shoe stretchers and the next morning they were absolutely perfect! There isn’t much to obtaining a good fit once you get the toe cage to fit your foot. They are beautiful, they are shiny, they are wonderfully trendy, and they are Gucci! Really looking forward to wearing these, especially around the holidays. I think they will look terrific bare and also with black tights, and even a sheer short black sock. Good job Gucci! Additional note, I took my normal size 10/40. I compared to the 40.5 and they were much too large.

Even with the stitched insole the glue didn't hold and the insole started peeling off during the "breaking in" the first week I wore them. They give the impression like they'll last a lifetime so I was disappointed to see these fall apart so quickly. I thought they were beautiful but hopefully Nordstrom will let me return them for defective quality
