Larger than expected
I purchased this as a gift for someone who normally wears an MP and she's 5'1". Based on the size chart, this should have been the right size, but it was huge! I just checked the Steve Madden website and it shows an M as an 8/10. Also, FYI, an XS is a 0/2, an S is a 4/6, an L is a 12/14, and an XL is a 16/18. There are not a lot of options for short women (Petites), so the size chart is important for getting the best fit possible.

This sweater is gorgeous. What the photos don’t show clearly are the tiny sparkle beads in the fair isle pattern! They are very subtle but add a bit of sparkle. The openwork pattern on the torso is beautiful too. I will need to wear something under the sweater, but I always do. The sweater is boxy and runs larger than the sizing indicates. Well worth the money!

Large open knit holes in sleeves and body
I didn’t realize when I bought this that it had large open knitting on the sleeves and body. You would have to wear a second long sleeve under it to keep you warm. Otherwise it was very cute and exactly as pictured. Not as heavy as I would like either. Would be great in a warm climate or as a layering piece
