Suze Letterquette

To get a letter, write a letter. This fine set of stationery is inspired by Eaton’s Letterquette, a small “book” that was produced in the 60’s that held writing sheets and envelopes firmly within a perfect bound book. It allowed the style-conscious letter writer to easily remove sheets or envelopes at will. In recreating this lovely system with our own unique vision, we couldn’t resist using our favorite papers and feeding each sheet through our Riso duplicator and antique presses before binding. Risograph printing uses a process similar to screen printing which adds special characteristics like uneven coverage, ink smudging (due to the environmentally friendly soy ink), and tiny shifts in registration. There will be slight imperfections from piece to piece, which we think adds to the beauty. We hope that it will inspire you to write many letters to the many amazing individuals in your life.
