Its ripstop nylon fabric resists abrasions and shields against wind and light precipitation. The discontinuous quilting pattern reduces stitching and creates an uninterrupted warmth flow. Additionally, this piece packs down to palm size.

Awesome mid layer or outer layer weather dependent- used multiple times in Patagonia for trekking- packs nicely and easy to bring out and thrown on- hood is a necessity in Patagonia winds- highly recommend.

Disappointed
I was super excited to have a lightweight jacket and loved the look of this one. As soon as I wore it for the first time, it started “shedding” and has “strings” of thread hanging off all over the jacket. And then, after wearing just a couple of times, the zipper (very flimsy) broke. Now I can’t even wear it and it’s too late for a return/exchsnge. Very disappointed.

Broken zipper, didn't wear
I bought this in 2023 from OR, wore it for less one season and the zipper broke. It's been in my mending pile to install a new zipper for the last 1.5 years : (
