Superkind Bio-Shield Face Oil

I’ve been using this product for 5 days consistently since receiving. I’m not using any active ingredients such as retinol, tretinoin, or bha/aha for 2 weeks now. I’m very diligent with my skincare and I have a morning & nightly routine consisting of cleansing, serums, and moisturizing oil or cream. My skin is combo (oily and dry) but not extreme oil or dryness. I’ve incorporated this oil into both nightly and morning regimen and kept it simple to observe the product: gentle cleanser, hydrating toner (tower 28 redness SOS toner spray), and this oil only. Two disappointing observations: - Packaging is cheap and flimsy. The glass container is cheap and glass is very thin. The dropper doesn’t dispense the oil smoothly either. Would prefer a heavy glass bottle to be sturdy and sit still on my counter top. This bottle has toppled over several times and the dropper is hard to use, makes it hard to suck up the product without the bottle wobbling over. Dropper is low quality and one cannot control the amount of oil the pump out. For this price and a luxury brand, I’m expecting sturdy packaging and smooth dispensing of the liquid. -Oil is drying even with all the attractive ingredients. Description says oil is silky and ultra hydrating. Oil isn’t very silky, there is no slip to it, it’s just a oil that doesn’t disperse over the skin very well. I put it on clean prepped skin and it felt okay…but 15 minutes later the skin around my nasolabial folds and mouth felt very dry. I checked in the mirror and my skin looked flaky and dehydrated (tight dry skin) as you can see in the pic - the oil just disappeared and skin tightened up, flakes appeared after days of using this. I can confidently say this oil is causing it, otherwise I take great care of my skin and use all ingredients responsibly in order not to dry my skin out. This is surprising for an oil that claims superior hydration, protection, and skin loving ingredients… I am disappointed.
