Not a l_l_ dupe but good.
While l_l_(fruit) leggings are softer, these leggings provide more tummy control. Both brands' leggings pill so... make of that what you will. These are thinner than the Live In Zella leggings but are SQUAT PROOF and I can see myself purchasing more in the future. I got a medium which fits me in the beginning of the day (that no bloat, morning "skinniness") but after eating, I wish I had a Large. For reference, my hips/butt are 38-40" and 26-28". I am 5'6". Oh, the pink color is bright and obnoxious, which represents my personality well. It will definitely help your friends find you at the airport. Haha

Awful
I was so excited to try these because of the pockets, but these may be the worst Zella’s I’ve purchased. They are ULTRA high-waisted. The mediums came all the way up to my bust. And with the way the front seam angles downward, they gave the appearance of maternity leggings. Big time pass on these.

My mew fave Zella Leggings
Love the feel of these, very similar to the Lulu Align material, but at a steal price! Please make these in more colors and in 7/8 length, we petite ladies would really appreciate.
At 5'2'' had to fold like 2 inches but don't mind. Tried both the XS & S and decided to go with the small, because the bottom calf area was a bit tighter in the xs, I do have a bit of good calves, not cankles ok, Love the high rise. You could surely wear these with a long cardigan or sweater for cooler weather & tall boots or booties.

If you’re looking to pair the Zella pink rouge leggings with the Zella pink rouge shirt, don’t. The shades don’t match at all. Even my husband noticed when I tried the shirt and leggings on.

OBSESSED with the softness
I was originally shopping just Anniversary Sale... but I made my way over to the 'sale' rack and this Blue Clematis color grabbed me. It's almost like a purple. they are SO SOFT.... like, when did leggings get this soft?? I almost want to buy a few pairs so they stay this soft forever, or maybe find them in the black too. They're kind of long in the leg (but.. I'm pretty short) but I don't even care, because they're so frigging comfy.

I am in love with these. They are so soft, non restricting but also make everything look good. I like the new shape in the stitching around the butt it enhances it. My only gripe which is likely a me problem is they won’t stay up. I purchased an X-Large in these, I am going to buy a large and see if it makes a difference. I will keep the ones I have now though still because they are amazing . For reference I am 5’9, 200 #.
