This chair is an icon! We have had the original in our family for 37 years for our children and their children. The original is at Grandma's house for visits. We have bought three for the children's homes. The design grows with the kids, the chair has been improved with the support and tray. The design ingenious. If you want a chair that will have lasting quality, change, allow kids to get close to the family table...this is your investment.

DO NOT purchase from Nordstrom
As a cardholder, I was happy to be able to purchase this high chair from Nordstrom. It arrived damaged, inside the box. It looked as if it had been returned and repackaged. When I reached out to customer service, they would not replace it. Instead, they told me I would have to return this to a Nordstrom store. I have a 6 month old baby, it would be impossible for me to bring a heavy high chair into a Nordstrom store with a baby. Customer service would not do anything else for me. If you are looking to purchase this high chair, I would NOT purchase this from Nordstrom due to the poor customer service and poor quality control, please purchase this from a different vendor.

Beautiful and Functional Chair!
Beautiful chair, great brand, easy to set up (I did it myself quickly), and easy to clean after meals. I love that the cushion can we wiped off or taken off and washed in the washing machine. My son enjoys meal time so much more now that he can be right up at the table with us! Actually we ALL enjoy eating so much more. He's comfortable, happy, and creates less of a mess. This chair is amazing, and will be the only high chair/kids chair we will ever need. It looks nice in our house and will be passed down between all 4 of my boys! Thank you Stellar Product Testing Panel for this high-quality product. We genuinely love it!

A more expensive but lovely high chair option
Stokke stuff is expensive, no one is doubting that! However, getting this as a set saved a lot of money, and the chair will grow with the child and be able to be used indefinitely as a regular chair long after our son has outgrown a need for a high chair, so I felt the price ultimately worth it.
Our son is currently 5 months old, but has a strong back and is pretty good at sitting up independently. He is comfortable and happy in this chair. The tray and the cushions are easy to attach/detach and to clean. And, yes, we can get him in and out with the tray already on. I can see that we may have to put him in it before we add the tray as he grows bigger. Other than that, it will be easy to adjust the size as he grows. It is aesthetically pleasing and fits in with our current furniture well. It puts him at a nice height to join us at the dinner table too.
There are only two downside about this chair are: the directions are not very clear when it comes to putting it together. I would advise watching a Youtube tutorial instead, honestly. Second, if you have a ledge under your table, you need to be aware that the baby could push his feet against it. If he does that could cause the chair to tip back, which is dangerous. The company provides warnings about it, which I think helps minimize that happening but wanted to share about that here too.

Wouldn't recommend
Purchased this for my baby but in hindsight would not purchase again or recommend. This high chair looks really nice and the concept of "growing with you" is what intrigued us to purchase this high chair. Not sure why it has such high ratings. Once I started using it, I found a lot of things that I did not like about this chair. First of all, the straps are horrible!!! As a parent, anything that's easy is key but the straps are so hard to adjust and they do not stay on the shoulders. They slide down and it's so easy for my baby to slide her arms out and then be out of the straps. The straps are hard to take out and clean once they're dirty and with a baby, it'll definitely get dirty. Also there isn't a higher backing so there's no support for the head and also when my baby cries and throws her head back, she hits the hard backing. Also my baby has also hit her head on the sides when she tilted her head.
Overall... definitely lots of places that need improvement especially the STRAPS!

worst high chair
This high chair was supposed to be one of the best but I have never been so disappointed. The straps are very hard to figure out even after countless YouTube videos they just don’t work. The tray is coated with something that does not allow any type of suction cup to stick to it, no suction toys or plates or anything. When you are ready to change the seat position you have to literally take an Allen wrench and unscrew 8 screws just to adjust it. It’s a huge waste or money and I’m mad we are stuck with it. Would never recommend it.
