made it through tough travel
I needed an easy bag for overseas travel. Weight is an issue with a purse for me because of neck pain but I didn't want to travel with something that couldn't be stuffed if necessary. This bag got me through alot. The weather in Europe was snow, rain, wind and cold for 7 days. This bag was practically soaked during a long sightseeing trek in the rain. No problem. It was packed with purchases, scarves, gloves and sandwiches at differents stops. No problem. I wore it crossbody when needed and the handles fit on the shoulder just fine with a winter coat. It was stuffed in the overhead, smashed under my seat, crammed inside a carry-on as well at one point. It hangs great over a chair and over my knee in a crowded coffee shop. So glad I didn't bring a designer bag that I would have had to worry about. It worked as a versatile bag during sightseeing as well as at an industry business convention.
And by the way, looks stylish. Lots of pockets for organizing.
Slight downside-I think the zipper is not the best quality- although no issues yet. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, I wish they would have used a more interesting lining design. But for the price I think I might buy another in a summer color.

Cute Bag, Quality Problems
I bought this bag and within 2 weeks one of the zippers broke on the front pocket. I really liked the look of the bag and it's a great size but it broke within one week!

SOOOO Close
I ordered this bag in 3 different colors - black, animal print and mint. The bag is a credible nod to an 'it' bag shape and style and, for all man-made materials, feels and reads like a higher end piece. That is, however, until you unzip it and expose the garish, hideous, juvenile turquoise and white striped, 'steven' labeled lining. There is also the issue of the diaper bag-like, gathered slip pockets, but since no one else sees them, I guess it is ok. Unfortunately, this horrid lining is in all the bags, rather than coordinating to the exterior or a more neutral option. I couldn't get over how it cheapened the experience every time I looked inside. The top zip opening doesn't extend from end to end(about an 1" cheat on each side), which is tough on a larger bag in which you might put larger items. The quality of hardware and trim was very good for this price point. Would have loved to keep this bag and it is 5 stars without the lining issue. Hoping they keep the bag, but update the color and lining choices.

Will not fit a 15" Laptop
This bag is SO CLOSE to being perfect. The colors are vibrant (I ordered it in Eggplant and Paprika) and the outside pockets are very handy. Admittedly, the pockets in the front are pretty shallow, but they are big enough to fit a smartphone or a small wallet.
What disappoints me about this bag -- it is literally a quarter of an inch too narrow to fit a 15" laptop such as the 15" macbook pros. Although Nordstrom lists the bag as being 16.5" wide, the actual zipper opening at the top of the bag is only 14" wide. So you could fit a 13.3" macbook (or other similarly-sized laptop), but it's just a hair too small for the 15" category.

Style changes
I own the older version of this bag. And by older, I mean I bought it in January. The main change to the bag for the newer colors that I noticed is there now is a (hideous) yellow shiny steve madden nameplate on the side of the bag. Sorry, that cheapens the bag imo since the tag is very visible when the bag is carried. I dont appreciate the change, so bought the older version in another color.
Despite not appreciating the style change, I now have this bag in two colors. It is a perfect city travel bag, fits ALOT of stuff, and the outer pockets are great! I get alot of compliments on the bag and people are surprised when i tell them the designer.

Cute Bag, Quality Problems

Does expand open...
After seeing this bag online I thought this could be the perfect sized travel bag. Big enough for a laptop and to carry around everything - but when I saw this I was sadly mistaken. the pics show the view from the front and back, but from the side where the handles are attached, the sides are permanently cinched not really allowing you to open the bag wide enough to dig around the overly generous bottom. this didn't work for me and so am still on the hunt for the perfect travel bag.
