Libertie Smoking Slipper (Men)

I think these fit as expected. My teen is still growing fast, so he's perhaps not the best barometer for comparison to other men's shoes yet. He got these in size 8M along with a pair of BP suede boots for everyday in a size 8.5M in the same order, and liked the fit of both. He'll likely wear thicker socks with the BP boots. (Same order: Blake Mckay Damon Plain Toe Derby in size 8.5M also fit well, but I didn't let him keep two pairs of dressy black shoes as he doesn't really need them often. The Derby was more sensible, but the Smoking Slipper was WAY more fun.) These were worn a few times on a cruise when my son dressed up for the "dressy" or "gala" evenings. Worn with black wool trousers and a Tallia Kids' Black Velvet Sparkle Sport Coat (also from Nordy's), he looked better than most of the adult men on the ship IMHO. These have smooth soles. My teen only wore them indoors or on the decks of a cruise ship. I'd be very cautious wearing these at an outdoor formal event. Both the velvet and the sole are more suitable for dancing on a wood floor than actually going anywhere.
