Harlow High Waist Velvet Pants

This is a good buy. The velvet is not just velveteen, it is actually a decent plush velvet, but with structure and not too soft and flowy. The inside is interlined with a silky bonded material so the pants slip on easily. I think it runs a bit small. I am usually small, but I decided to get the medium in case I want to tuck a shirt in at the waist and wear a belt. So, they fit me a bit looser than I usually like. I am slim but have hips and that means there is a bit of a gap at the waist, but again that is because I got the medium. I don't think the inseam is 28". I am 5"6" and get jeans with a 28" inseam. But, these pants were pooling on the floor. I am going to have to hem them about 2". I guess the model is tall, so judge where this would fall on you accordingly. That is the only drawback. These are great, very comfortable and I plan to wear them with holiday tops.

For this price, I thought I was purchasing a casual pair of pull-on pants. These pants a fully tailored with a zipper fly. The velvet is dense and lush. The inseam on the large is about 34” and I had them hemmed at Nordstrom using my Nordy alteration credit. I am usually size 10 and ordered the large, as the chart said. I probably could have used a medium. I think a nice belt will cinch them in. Looking forward to wearing them during the winter holidays. I have been looking for nice black velvet pants for 2 seasons.
